At JTR & ASSOCIATES, we don't act, talk, sound or look like a traditional accounting firm. |
Our typical roles can include:
1. Accountant/Tax Agent (by trade)
2. Business Advisor (by choice)
3. Psychologist/counsellor (not by choice!)
4. Mediator (again not by choice!)
What makes us different?
- We care. Yes, we genuinely care about you (our clients), your business and your journey, wherever you may be heading
- We only work with advisors that we have used personally, or that we trust implicitly. They have integrity, and they have been tried, tested and the relationship has taken a very long time to build.
- We do not work with any advisors that pay us commission or who we pay commission to. We maintain strict (very strict!) independence at all times, and we will not refer you to someone just so that we can “line our pockets”
- We try and make the accounting and tax process as fun and as interesting as you will permit us to. If you let us lead, it will be pain free. We will show you that creativity is not limited to the world of art.
- We listen to your concerns, and troubleshoot your individual pain points. What is a problem or a pain point for one client will not be an issue for another. We do not believe in one size fits all. We therefore offer very tailored packages, based on your specific individual needs.
- We constantly look for ways to improve. There is always constant improvements to:
- our systems and our services
- our professional knowledge
- our application and software
This is all designed to make our lives easier. - Finally, and probably the most important point that sets us apart from the other accountant firms is that we genuinely love what we do. The caveat to this, however, is that it doesn’t mean that every Monday will always be easy, as we are humans too and do have late nights

BIOGRAPHY Jenny Thai is an accountant, by profession, numbers expert by trade, but there is more to it than meets the eye. Having over 17 years’ experience in both public practice and in a corporate setting, Jenny has achieved at a young age, both her university degree in business and accounting alongside membership to the prestigious Certified Practising Accountant (CPA). She is also a registered tax agent, and on her way to becoming a property advisor too. Jenny has built her business purely on a referral basis alone, as there has been no advertising at all. JTR & Associates was built on a foundation of trust with other likeminded professionals in complimentary industries. Having achieved a turnover in the first 6 months to replace her well paid six digit full time role as a senior manager in a public practise firm, there seemed to be no limits for Jenny. But if anyone has known Jenny long enough, they would know that it would not be long before another project/cause would catch her eye or gain her support. Jenny’s true passion in life is to create a kinder world for the animals of this earth, our co-inhabitants. Having grown up with all sorts of friends, of the furry and feathery sort (ducks, a ferret, dogs, guinea pigs, a rabbit, chickens, to name just a few!), Jenny has always had a very clear passion for animals, and a very unique way of seeing the world. She leads a vegan lifestyle, because she does practise what she preaches, and through this lifestyle, |
Jenny has met some amazing people who share mutual beliefs and who can keep up with her enthusiasm and energy. She actively uses her business to support her chosen charity, Edgar’s Mission, a farm sanctuary for abandoned and forgotten creatures, and commits a percentage of the business earnings to this worthy cause. But unfortunately, this alone is not enough to change the world. Through her talents as an expert accountant, and trusted business advisor, Jenny is on her journey to use her skills to create a kinder world for all, humans and all sentient beings. |
